Summary

Exciting opportunity in the ROH in-house Creative Studios

More Details

The Royal Opera House continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music, and dance.

Our Audiences and Commercial Department plays a vital role in the success of the Royal Opera House, telling the story of the organisation and encouraging people to engage with us – whether by attending a performance, seeing a live screening at the cinema, streaming a performance online, or coming in to enjoy the shop, bars, and restaurants in our iconic Covent Garden building.

Within the department, the ROH Studios Creative Team are brand guardians – creating exciting and engaging content that will speak to both new and returning audiences. As we roll out our exciting rebrand to become the Royal Ballet and Opera at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, this is a key time to join us; leading, managing and creatively steering the design team, ensuring projects are delivered to timelines, at the highest quality and in line with the new Royal Ballet and Opera`s brand guidelines, tone and creative vision.

Our ideal candidate will bring design prowess, strong leadership skills and the ability to think strategically and commercially. They will also be able to demonstrate:

  • The ability to develop a creative vision and implement that vision in related creative briefs and design solutions; with significant experience of editorial design in an information-heavy context, working with print production processes and design for digital formats.
  • Experience of successfully managing a design team to deliver on time and on budget.
  • A track record and portfolio across a range of multi-channel design briefs.
  • Extensive experience in and creative flair for typography
  • Highly developed skills working with a range of tools including the Adobe Creative Suite and excellent advanced InDesign and Photoshop skills.
