Summary
More Details
As Vital Xposure places playwrights and new writing at the heart of our artistic mission, the Literary Associate will work closely with the Artistic Director to develop and deliver our bold, inclusive programme, particularly our groundbreaking Wellspring Commissions residency for Disabled, Deaf, and Neurodivergent playwrights.
This role is perfect for an emerging artist with experience in playwriting, dramaturgy, literary management, or directing new work.
Whether you have self-produced your own projects or supported other writers’ development, you will gain invaluable insight into how a touring company champions disabled voices and transforms the theatre landscape.
If you see yourself leading an organisation in the next decade, this is essential preparation for that journey.
The role will be based at our office in Deptford, London, with hybrid working arrangements: one day at the office (currently this is Wednesdays), two days remotely.
WHAT WE OFFER:
- The chance to play a pivotal role in shaping a flagship national programme of new writing.
- Close collaboration with Artistic Director Josh Elliott and the Vital Xposure team.
- A supportive, inclusive, and creative working environment.
- National exposure through partnerships with major theatres.
