As a Paintshop Assistant, you will support the smooth running of the department by maintaining an organised paintshop, managing the storage and upkeep of tools and materials, and prepping and priming scenic items to a professional standard. The role involves operating scenic tools and equipment, assisting with the movement of scenic pieces, and supporting stock‑taking processes, while contributing to safe working practices and undertaking opening and closing duties as required.
The successful candidate will bring a strong work ethic, adaptability, and confident organisational and time‑management skills, supported by hands‑on workshop experience and a solid understanding of basic health and safety. We’re keen to hear from candidates with COSHH or manual‑handling training, knowledge of paint and scenic materials, or experience prepping and priming a range of surfaces, as these skills will help you thrive in our busy producing‑theatre.
This is a fixed term contract of 10 hours per week ending January 2027.
