The role:
The focus of this role is to manage the daily operations of our award-winning front-facing Retail operation. You will maintain a regular shop floor presence throughout each day to ensure that your team offers fast, friendly, knowledgeable, and informal service that customers talk about and return for whilst maintaining the highest standards of housekeeping, customer service and product display. You will manage a team, monitor stock levels, and create attractive displays to ensure that the operation can meet demand and maximise sales in line with seasonal buying patterns. Working on a rota covering weekends and bank holidays.
The team:
The Retail department is responsible for the Retail areas of Shakespeare’s Globe, including the on-site shops, the e-commerce web site, licensing and wholesale. Retail sits within the Visitor Operations & Audiences hub and that team aims to provide high levels of service to visitors and staff and to maximise visitor revenue in support of the Globe’s mission and objectives.
