More Details

Shakespeare’s Globe are currently seeking Ticketing & Sales Assistants to join our Ticketing & Sales team on a full-time, fixed term contract (8 months).

We are committed to improving diversity and inclusion across our organisation. Don’t meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women and the Global Majority are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every single specification. If you’re excited about the role but your experience or qualifications don’t perfectly align, we encourage you to apply anyway. We particularly encourage applications from underrepresented groups such as the global majority, LGBTQA+, those from a working-class background, those with a disability and neurodiverse conditions.

The role:
To provide the highest quality of service to our patrons, customers, and staff, advising our patrons on all the Globe’s activities through selling and actively promoting our products. The role requires colleagues to stay informed on all our activities and feel confident up-selling additional products and services to customers.

The skills:
The successful candidates will have excellent customer service skills and an eye for detail. They will have strong interpersonal skills and experience using these when working with the general public in person and over the phone. They will also be enthusiastic, willing to learn and be proactive in serving our customers. The right people for this role will be natural problem-solvers who love identifying issues then using a practical and supportive approach to solve them. As an organisation, the Globe is committed to the principles of equality, diversity and anti-racism and implementing them throughout our work, so we ask all colleagues to have a personal commitment to this too.

The team:
The Ticketing & Sales Team is part of the Audiences Department. This is an on-site role, with time split between the contact centre and the front of house desks. The Ticketing & Sales Assistant role is managed by the Ticketing & Sales Manager, with supervision from the Ticketing & Sales Duty Managers.

Benefits:

  • Discount in the Globe shop and onsite restaurants/cafes
  • Staff discounts via My Globe perks and better Bankside Buzzcard
  • Free entry to selected shows, events and activities
  • Access to our free employee assistance programme and 24/7 virtual GP service
  • Family friendly policies; enhanced maternity, paternity, adoption, and shared parental leave
  • Life assurance scheme
  • Rental deposit scheme
  • Season ticket loans available
