Wardrobe Assistant

Sonia Friedman Productions is seeking applications for a full-time, experienced Wardrobe Assistant to work on the London production of STRANGER THINGS: THE FIRST SHADOW.

Written by Kate Trefry, an original story by the Duffer Brothers, Jack Thorne and Kate Trefry, directed by Stephen Daldry, co-directed by Justin Martin for the Phoenix Theatre and produced by Netflix and Sonia Friedman Productions.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Experience in a similar position on a large-scale production
  • Excellent hand and machine sewing skills
  • Knowledge of repair and maintenance of costumes
  • Ability to learn and perform dressing cues; from simple to extensive plots
  • Excellent laundry skills – including ironing
  • Experience of working as a team; great communication and friendly manner
  • Good computer skills with knowledge of Word and Excel

Please Note: All applicants must be able to commit to the full contract and must have the right to work in the UK.

Job Location: West End London

Contract Type:  A year’s fixed term contract from the then the contract will be rolling.

Salary: Weekly rate as per SOLT/BECTU Agreement.

Weekly Hours: 6 day working weeks (Tuesday to Sunday); 8 shows per week plus maintenance and understudy calls.
