Contract Start: w/c 13th April 2026 • UK tour (13 April –1 August) • Unpaid hiatus (2 August – 20 September) • Toronto engagement (Handover, tech & performance commencing 21 September, exact attendance to be agreed) Show schedule: performances are 6 days per week either Monday – Saturday or Tuesday – Sunday depending on each venue’s schedule.

Personal Attributes: We are looking for applicants with previous experience in a running wardrobe department, experience on touring musical theatre productions is desirable. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in high pressure environments.

Job Description: To be a proactive member of the tour technical team, supporting the Wardrobe department in the running of the production.

To assist the Wardrobe team in the repair and general maintenance of all show costumes.

To aid the cast with costume changes during performances. To be responsible for emergency costume repairs or malfunctions during performances, if required.

To support the wardrobe team in gathering costumes for cover actors and assisting in dressing them during performances if required. To support the wardrobe department in cleaning and laundering all costumes at the required frequency to maintain their appearance.

To support the Wardrobe teams with get-ins/get outs as required.

To learn and follow dressing plots as needed To remain calm and effective in fast-paced situations.
To become familiar with all plots/tracks within the department in order to provide holiday or absence cover for other team members.

To assist the with compiling and updating cue sheets and other relevant show documentation for each department as needed.

To support the Wardrobe department in maintaining the department’s COSHH records and Health & Safety protocols, and to uphold good housekeeping practices. To provide emergency cover to the WHAM team, covering show plots as needed.

To ensure your working environment is kept clean, tidy, and safe.

To work collaboratively with all other departments to ensure the smooth running of the production. To proactively identify costume maintenance tasks and liaise with the Head of departments to take responsibility for completing them.

To help ensure the company H&S policy and show Risk Assessments are fully adhered to. Any other reasonable duty that would normally fall within the remit of a Wardrobe Assistant on industry norms and practice relating to both rehearsal and performance of the production.
