Working closely with the Executive Director, the Artistic Director provides Stratford East with inspirational and inclusive leadership, overseeing the growth and development of the organisation, and ensuring it remains rooted in its local communities whilst continuing to build its wider profile.
To provide a world class experience and customer service visitors to the Globe site and work together as a team to facilitate all visitor activity onsite.
This role is offered on a full time basis. Due to the nature of the role it must be worked onsite on London’s Bankside and will include regular evening and weekend working.
The skills:
The ideal candidate would have a genuine desire to provide excellent visitor care in a warm, friendly and professional manner, able to work as part of a large team and be a supportive team member within the wider organisation, and work collaboratively and considerately with other departments. They will be able to use their initiative to demonstrate a proactive and flexible approach to change, even at short notice and will be able to retain and share excellent knowledge of products, practices, and objects in the exhibition space, whilst also able to influence customers with strong selling skills. The right person for the role will have an excellent attention to detail, effective communication skills and be enthusiastic and willing to learn.
The team:
The Visitor and Audience Operations department is made up of a large operational team encompassing the management and delivery of the tours, also supporting the Retail function and wider Globe activities. The team collaborate closely with other departments to bring the highest standards of audience experience in the delivery of all the Globe’s work.

RATE OF PAY: Equity Minimum MRSL Grade 3 – £526.24 with £225 per week subsistence as applicable.
DATES: W/C Monday 28th October 2024 until Saturday 28th December 2024
LOCATION: Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough.
DESCRIPTION: The Stephen Joseph Theatre are looking to recruit an Assistant Stage Manager for the Christmas production of ‘Aladdin’. The show rehearses in Scarborough and then plays in the Main House at the SJT. The ideal candidate will have experience of procuring props, with some basic making knowledge. Also the ability to work a busy track backstage during the performance run.
The Stage Management team comprises of an in-house CSM, DSM and this advertised ASM position. We are particularly keen to hear from global majority, under represented artists/stage managers.
The successful candidate will have experience working on early years productions, as well as experience in movement direction. Experience with puppetry is desirable.
