Member shows in Edinburgh

With August underway, we are excited to share some of the fantastic work that our Members are bringing to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year.

Francesca Moody Productions and Grace Dickson Productions co-present two shows. Francesca Moody Productions, Olivier Award-winning producer of Fleabag and Baby Reindeer, also brings a new 100-seat venue, ‘Shedinburgh’, hosting a series of one-nighters and reimagining the model for supporting artists. Paines Plough team up with Belgrade Theatre and Sheffield Theatres, in association with the Lyric Theatre Belfast. Brian Cox stars in a production by the National Theatre of Scotland, Dundee Rep and Playful Productions. Plus, productions from JFR Productions, Norwich Theatre, Sherman Theatre, Seabright Live, Paul Taylor-Mills and Soho Theatre.

Garry Starr: Classic Penguins (Underbelly George Square, until 25 August)
Garry Starr sets out to perform every Penguin Classic novel ever written in this hilarious clown show.

Winner of the Women’s Prize for Playwriting 2022, Karis Kelly’s story of four generations of Northern Irish women, reunited under one roof.

Renowned political comedian Mark Thomas stars in this tale of freedom, revolution and messy love.

Belgrade Theatre
Two Pints (Assembly Rooms, until 24 August)
Written by award-winning Irish writer Roddy Doyle, this blisteringly funny play explores the friendship of two men, as they attempt to support each other through life’s triumphs and tragedies, one pint at a time.

National Theatre of Scotland, Dundee Rep and Playful Productions
Make It Happen (Edinburgh International Festival, Festival Theatre, until 9 August)
Brian Cox stars in this biting satire on the Scottish banking ambition that shattered the global economy, written by James Graham (Sherwood, Dear England).

National Theatre of Scotland and Traverse Theatre
She’s Behind You (Traverse Theatre, until 24 August)
A riotous, heartfelt journey into the wild world of pantomime, starring Scotland’s premier dame, Johnny McKnight, with award-winning director John Tiffany.

Jasmyn Fisher-Rayner (JFR Productions) and Jade Franks
Eat The Rich (but maybe not me mates x) (Pleasance Courtyard, until 25 August)
If there’s one thing worse than classism and the disparity of wealth in this country… It’s FOMO. Jade Franks makes her Fringe debut in this brilliantly biting new comedy.
