With August underway, we are pleased to showcase the work that SOLT and UK Theatre members are bringing to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2026.
This year’s Fringe features a wide range of theatre, comedy, musicals and cabaret from our members. Highlights include The Distance from Global Creative, Grace Dickson Productions and Nic Doodson Productions, Dundee Rep & Scottish Dance Theatre’s The Singer, and Badgers from Theatre Royal Plymouth in association with Bristol Old Vic.
Francesca Moody Productions returns with ROLEPLAY, Crybabies: The Scaring and Garry Starr: Classic Penguins, alongside the return of Shedinburgh. The artist-led venue includes a New Musical Theatre showcase from Birmingham Hippodrome and supports new writing through partnerships with organisations including Theatr Clwyd, The Lowry, Traverse Theatre and Abbey Theatre Dublin.
Soho Theatre returns with 19 productions across the festival, ranging from comedy and cabaret to new theatre, including work from Catherine Bohart, Jack Rooke, Patti Harrison, Temi Wilkey, Xhloe & Natasha and Sh!t Theatre.

Avalon
One Man Musical (Pleasance Beyond, until 30 August)
Award-winning musical comedy duo Flo & Joan present their own original one-man musical about a very renowned and real-life gentleman.
The Real Kyle McCarren (Pleasance Forth, until 30 August)
In this musical-meets-live concert séance that’s equal parts Bo Burnham and Tick, Tick… Boom!, you’re invited to meet the legend himself.
Avalon & Tellus Studio
Bog Witch (Traverse 1 at Traverse, until 30 August)
Bog Witch follows part of Kimmings’ real-life story, the journey of uprooting her and her son’s lives to live in a tumbledown cottage in the wilderness, to plug back into nature as a last-ditch attempt to be happy and sane.
Birmingham Hippodrome
An Evening with Anoushka Lucas (Shedinburgh @ Assembly Checkpoint, 13 August only)
The critically acclaimed singer, songwriter and actor, Anoushka Lucas (Oklahoma!), is taking over Shedinburgh with an evening of original songs from both her albums alongside songs from her award-winning play Elephant.
An Evening with Jack Godfrey (Shedinburgh @ Assembly Checkpoint, 14 August Only)
The multi-award-winning musical theatre composer & writer, Jack Godfrey, returns to Edinburgh with an evening of songs from his musicals, including Fringe favourite Hot Mess, 42 Balloons, and more!
Cahoots Theatre Company Ltd
Clive (Drawing Room at Assembly Rooms, until 30 August)
Thomas loves his job and working from home. All the while talking to his best friend – a cactus called Clive. He’s not going mad at all. When a new boss takes over, work becomes stressful, life starts to unravel and he grows even more reliant on his spiky friend.
Chichester Festival Theatre

A riotous drag musical that exposes toxic masculinity and its effect on boybands and fangirls.

Reuben Solo returns with a fully updated version of his sold-out 2025 show.

Showman, jester and social-media phenomenon Christopher Hall brings a new stand-up show packed with audience interaction, dancing and character comedy.
Elf Lyons is The Woman on the Edge (Monkey Barrel Comedy, until 30 August)
Sky Arts Award-winning comedian Elf Lyons returns with a theatrical stand-up show inspired by Vertigo, Apollo 13 and Pagliacci.
National Theatre of Scotland
One Hundred Voices (Main Hall at The Scottish Parliament, 12 – 28 August)
One Hundred Voices is an interactive, audio-guided installation, bringing creative insight into living in the care system. It serves as an artistic act of recognition and celebration of the one hundred testimonies recorded through the Caring Scotland project.
Through the Shortbread Tin (Netherbow Theatre at Scottish Storytelling Centre, until 31 August)
The story of the greatest literary hoax of all time. Performed in Scots with Gaelic songs, Through the Shortbread Tin returns to explore the myths we tell each other and the stories we tell ourselves.

ROOMIES (Jersey, Underbelly Bristo Square, until until 31 August))
29 year old Sophie, ex LA it girl, finds herself in a rehab clinic just months before her 30th birthday with an unwanted roommate – Molly, an 18 year old schizophrenic. Determined to get checked out of the facility in time for her big birthday blow out, Sophie has to finally sit with her feelings about who she is, who her so-called friends think she is, and the void in between.
Steve Burns: Alive (Belly Button, Underbelly Cowgate, until 30 August)
Steve Burns was the beloved host of Nickelodeon’s Blue’s Clues. When he left the show, the internet decided his fate: car crashes, drug overdoses, murder conspiracies. Steve Burns was dead… except he wasn’t. In Steve Burns Alive, Burns dissects the phenomenon of being mourned while alive.
TWITCH (Clover, Underbelly Bristo Square until 30 August)
Pam searches obsessively for her missing son, accompanied by a twitch no one else can see.
The Breakup Variety Hour (Assembly Studios Four, until 31 August)
A love letter to heartbreak, healing, and the wild ride in between, this one-woman show follows the emotional arc of putting yourself back together, blending music, comedy and a touch of chaos.

Biff To The Future (Assembly George Square – Piccolo, until 30 August)
The iconic villain of Back to the Future returns to the Fringe centre stage in this comedic reimagination of Marty’s time-traveling escapades.
CADEL: Lungs on Legs (Gilded Balloon at the Museum, until 30 August)
The riveting true story of Cadel Evans, the only Australian to win the Tour de France returns to the Fringe after a sold-out 2025 premiere.
Churchill’s Urinal (Pleasance at EICC – Lomond, 13 – 23 August 2026)
New comedy by and starring Rosie Holt, with additional material by Stewart Lee, featuring a fearless female Chancellor of the Exchequer’s battle to rid her ensuite of the ancient urinal first tinkled on by undying icon of Britishness, Winston Churchill.
FLOP! The Best Songs from the Worst Musicals (Gilded Balloon at Teviot – Wine Bar, until 30 August)
This love letter to Broadway and the West End features a motley assortment of the misunderstood, critically panned and financially catastrophic musical misfires, including forgotten gems and pleas for redemption!
INDY! (Gilded Balloon at the Museum, until 30 August)
Three amateur archaeologists… One fedora… A whole lot of snakes. Join our fearless troupe as they parody the legendary Indiana Jones trilogy!
In Pour Taste: A Comedy Wine Tasting Experience (Assembly Rooms, Bijou, until 30 August)
Sweeney Preston and Ethan Cavanagh return to guide you through tasting five wines and at least five jokes, alongside a local wine expert.
Top Gunchained (Gilded Ballon at Teviot – Wine Bar, until 30 August)
World premiere of the uplifting comedy and jet-powered tour through your favourite characters, and all the romance and action of Tom Cruise’s aerial blockbuster, alongside the heartfelt story of father and son superfans.
Trainspotting Live (Pleasance at EICC – Cromdale, until 30 August)
The critically acclaimed immersive production of Trainspotting Live will return for a highly anticipated tenth season at Edinburgh Fringe this year in a unique, bespoke immersive venue.
Wiesenthal (Gilded Balloon at Teviot – Dining Room, until 30 August)
Wiesenthal by Tom Dugan is based on the life of Simon Wiesenthal, who survived the Holocaust and devoted the rest of his life to bringing Nazi war criminals to justice.
