The Theatre Conference sponsored by Spektrix took place on Tuesday 30 June 2026 at the iconic Southbank Centre.
This year’s theme – Ambitious Futures: Theatre in A Changing World – examined the challenges facing our industry and considered how we can create the conditions for theatre to thrive amid rapid change, shaping a more resilient, inclusive and innovative future.
It was a fantastic day of panels and presentations, beginning with an inspiring opening keynote from actor and Olivier Award winner Julie Hesmondhalgh. Jenny Sealey, Artistic Director of Graeae Theatre Company, delivered a rousing Afternoon Welcome before the afternoon’s sessions, and the day ended with a chance for delegates to enjoy a drink and network.
