Responsibilities
To work closely with the Sound Designer, Musical Director & Director to ensure that the YTR Pantomime is realised effectively, efficiently and to the highest possible standards.
To live mix all performances to a high and consistent standard.
To ensure effective and positive working relationships with creative teams, departmental staff, and colleagues.
To ensure the best use of staff time within the department in consultation with the Chief Electrician.
To contribute to ensuring the good housekeeping of the department and the Theatre, as appropriate.
To ensure that the Theatre’s Health and Safety policy and legislation are adhered to at all times and that safe working practices are observed in all department activities.
To ensure that the reputation of YTR is kept to a high standard and that a high standard of service is given.
To ensure all shows are presented to the highest possible standard.
To work with the Head of Production and Chief Electrician to achieve all environmental sustainability targets set for the production.
Person Specification
Essential
Experience of live sound mixing, including radio mics
Experience using DiGiCo SD10 sound desk
Knowledge of sound and AV equipment and practice, including Qlab programming
The ability to work accurately under pressure
The ability to think creatively
Computer literacy
The ability to work evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays
A genuine interest in theatre
Desirable
Experience of working with a range of creative teams
Knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation
