We are seeking an experienced Deputy Head of Wardrobe to join the production at the Adelphi Theatre.

DUTIES:
- To support the Head of Wardrobe in the performance of their duties and deputise for them when necessary in their absence.
- To maintain the artistic and overall standards of the production, ensuring all elements of the show remain at the highest standard and asoriginally set by the Costume Designer and Supervisor.
- To clean and launder all costumes in the manner and frequency required to maintain the appearance of the costumes, including co-ordinating dry cleaning.
- To take a show dressing plot – undertaking costume changes during the performance as required.
- To fit and alter costumes as needed during the run of the production including Understudies during cast change.
- To carry out running repairs on costumes as required.
- To follow up on all notes made by the team regarding costumes in their care, checking for accuracy and to maintain the master costumebible.
- Liaise with performers and stage management on all wardrobe related matters and ensure any issues that may arise are dealt withquickly and efficiently.
- Support the recast rehearsal process as required.
- Ensure good housekeeping is maintained in all work and storage areas, and working with other departments to ensure all technical areasare clear and well organised.
- Any other reasonable duty that would normally fall within the remit of a Deputy Head of Wardrobe based on industry norms andpractice.
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION:
- Experience of the role whilst working on a large scale musical production.
- An organised yet flexible approach and calm under pressure.
- Demonstrable ability to work as part of a team and under your own initiative.
- Ability to be creative and resourceful in problem solving.
- Strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent sewing skills and working knowledge of theatre costume.
- High level of maintaining, repairing and altering costumes.
- Experience of wardrobe maintenance and dressing actors on productions of similar scale and type.
- The ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritise.
- Experience of managing, training and delegating wardrobe staff.
- Experience in establishing costume dressing plots, backstage areas and dressing rooms.
