Key Responsibilities


Strategic Campaign Management

  • Develop and execute integrated campaigns across both artistic programmes and commercial and cultural engagement goals, ensuring all communications are aligned with the brand and audience strategy.
  • Ensure all campaigns align with Brixton House’s strategic goals around audience development, income generation, and amplify brand visibility.
  • Build and manage the delivery of multi-channel marketing plans across digital (email marketing, advertising, CRM and social), print, PR, OOH, media planning and grassroots outreach, from concept to evaluation.
  • Liaise with external suppliers, including media buyers, marketing agencies, print suppliers and designers.
  • Own day-to-day marketing operations including campaign calendars, media planning and distribution and content production.
  • Use project management tools to maintain campaign workflows, track milestones, and support cross-team delivery.
  • Manage internal campaign schedules and updates communicating and identifying pivot strategies where needed.
  • Working with Box Office to develop and execute promotional offers, pricing and ticketing strategies to encourage repeat attendance and drive sales.
  • Coordinate with ticket agencies and third-party sellers and identify opportunities for ticket sales drives.
  • Deputise as marketing lead with producers, festivals and co-producing partners to shape audience strategies from early development to post-show evaluation, ensure message consistency and creative integrity.
  • Deputise and collaborate with internal departments to align messaging and ensure campaigns contribute to wider organisational goals.

 

Audience Growth & Development

  • Execute data-driven audience development strategies using CRM segmentation, attendance trends, postcode analysis, and consumer trends.
  • Identify and activate pathways to deepen engagement with inclusive audiences, working in partnership with the Creative Engagement team.
  • Develop community and culturally rooted campaigns that enhance relevance and reflect the lived experience of Brixton, South London and the cultural communities it represents.
  • Design and implement performance marketing tactics that optimise ROI, supported by targeted direct marketing, lookalike audiences and retargeting.
  • Deliver communications that support Brixton House’s ambition to become a cultural destination, driving venue footfall, increasing visitor time, and enhancing the overall visitor experience across public spaces, events, and front-facing activity.
  • Contribute to the ongoing refinement of Brixton House’s audience development, brand amplification and commercial ambitions.

Commercial Campaigns & Earned Income

  • Work with the Head of Marketing and Communications, and Commercial and Producing teams to deliver on marketing campaigns to boost revenue for ancillary sales, including merchandise, sponsorship packages, wraparound activations, and programme sales/advertising.
  • Deliver targeted B2B and B2C campaigns for commercial hires, café/bar offerings, partnerships, and corporate and community hires, using a tailored voice and segmented strategy.
  • Support pricing and promotions strategy in collaboration with the Commercial and Producing teams.
  • Use insight-led decision making to target growth audiences and identify campaign priorities that increase ticket yield, secondary spend, and customer retention.
  • Working with the Head of Marketing and Communications to deliver the implementation of sub-brand identities and their positioning within the wider organisational brand architecture.

 

CRM, Insight & Analytics

  • Use Spektrix, DotDigital, and digital analytics tools to segment audiences and target communications effectively.
  • Track, analyse and inform campaign performance across paid media, CRM, social engagement and ticketing data.
  • Use tools such as Meta Ads Manager, Google Analytics, and ticketing data to generate actionable insights and campaign evaluation reports.
  • Maintain campaign schedules, budget trackers and dashboards to ensure resources are allocated effectively and impactfully.
  • Monitor KPIs across reach, impressions, CTR, open rates, revenue and conversion, adjusting campaigns in real-time and reporting performance insights to inform future strategy.

 

Communications – Content & Digital

  • Commission and curate content that brings campaigns to life across video, photography, trailers, editorial, blogs and social storytelling.
  • Supervise suppliers and freelancers to deliver brand-aligned assets, ensuring consistency of voice, tone and visual identity.
  • Lead on the delivery of HTML email marketing, adapting segmentation and tone for maximum engagement and overseeing consistent and timely schedules.
  • Manage social media content plans, ensuring consistent messaging and tone of voice.

Communications – PR

·         Working Head of Marketing and Communication develop and execute PR plans that amplify Brixton House’s brand, productions, and cultural voice across local, national, and industry press.

  • Collaborate with PR partners and freelancers to pitch stories, facilitate interviews, and secure local and national coverage across traditional and digital press.

·         Working closely with PR agencies and freelancers, build and maintain relationships with journalists, cultural influencers, community media, brand and cultural partners, and key sector publications across campaigns.

·         Support the Head of Marketing & Communications to deliver brand and cultural partnership campaigns and collaborations with cultural organisations, local businesses, and brands that align with Brixton House’s mission.

·         As part of the Brixton House Communications team, engage with cultural influencers, community tastemakers, and brand collaborators to extend reach and deepen brand and cultural resonance.

·         Draft and oversee press releases, media briefs and statements that reflect the brand’s tone and values.

·         Manage and oversee co-ordination of press nights, launches, influencer events, and media activations in collaboration with producing, commercial, and partnerships teams.

·         Monitor media and influencer coverage, report on PR reach, brand engagement, and impact, and adapt approaches to maximise future opportunities.

·         Ensure all messaging and partnerships uphold Brixton House’s commitment to inclusive storytelling and cultural representation.

Team Collaboration & Supplier Management

  • Line manages junior team members leading task management, supporting prioritisation, skill development and performance and cross-team coordination to ensure timely delivery.
  • Liaise and manage workflow and timely delivery from freelancers and external suppliers.
  • Champion an inclusive and collaborative team culture focused on continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the Head of Marketing and Communications to identify strategic risks, maintain processes and procedures, and contribute to cross-org planning.
  • Represent the Marketing and Communications team internally and externally, advocating for the role of brand and audiences in achieving organisational success.

Key Experience and Skills

Essential

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior marketing role in the cultural or creative industries.
  • Demonstrable success leading multi-platform campaigns that deliver both ticket sales, audience engagement and brand growth.
  • Deep understanding of audience segmentation, performance marketing, digital acquisition and CRM best practice.
  • Excellent stakeholder management with experience liaising with artistic, operations, commercial teams and external agencies.
  • Strong copywriting, campaign planning and project management skills.
  • Demonstrates creative thinking, bringing fresh ideas and innovative approaches to campaign challenges, content storytelling and audience engagement.
  • A proactive self-starter with the ability to spot opportunities, take initiative and drive ideas forward independently.
  • Knowledge of platforms including Meta Ads, Google Ads, Spektrix, DotDigital, Canva and/or Adobe Suite.


Desirable

  • Experience within a producing theatre or multi-disciplinary arts venue.
  • Knowledge of Brixton House’s local community and cultural sector positioning.
  • Awareness of current trends in audience diversification and growth.
