Warwick Arts Centre is looking for a proficient, creative, and technically skilled Lighting & Electrics Technician to join the team. You will be an active member of the Technical team and play a pivotal role in bringing live events to life, supporting the delivery of all technical aspects of both our live programme and conference events. It is essential that you are a communicative, collaborative, positive and pro-active individual

In this role, you’ll specialise in lighting and electrics, including rigging, focussing & plotting of shows, together with AV and some basic sound & stage management operations. You will have a creative eye to put the visiting company’s vision in to reality for incoming productions and events. Your primary responsibility will be to uphold the highest standards of technical presentation for all events while maintaining a keen awareness of health and safety regulations.

Flexibility is key in the event industry, and you’ll need to be prepared to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Please note a 5% availability allowance is included in the advertised salary scale. We pay BECTU/UK Theatre get out payment where applicable.

About You

This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with a passion for lighting technology and technology to join a multi-versatile Technical team. If you have some experience of live theatre lighting, then please do consider applying.

We are looking for someone who works well independently and as part of a team, who can keep themselves motivated and is interested in developing relationships with our customers, acting as an ambassador for the Arts Centre.

Warwick Arts Centre is a department of the University, and the successful candidate will be employed by the University of Warwick.
