About the role

English National Ballet is seeking an Artistic Assistant to join the Artistic team. This role provides a high level of personal assistance to the Artistic Director and administrative support to the Artistic Team and Ballet Futures Team.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent personal assistant support to the Artistic Director and be an effective liaison between the Artistic Ensemble and other departments.
  • Manage the Artistic Director’s diary, scheduling meetings and other appointments, ensuring optimal use of time and meeting of deadlines.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Ballet Futures Team.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Executive Assistant, deputising for them in their absence.
  • Work to understand key priorities, procedures, systems, and cycles in order to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines.
  • Act as a professional and welcoming representative of the Artistic Director, Executive Office, and the wider Company at internal and external meetings, visits, and events.

 

Key Selection Criteria

  • Experience of diary management and supporting internal and external client groups.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment supporting executives and senior management colleagues.
  • Experience of handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Good time management skills with the ability to efficiently plan, prioritise, anticipate and meet deadlines.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel user), and virtual meeting software, with an ability to support the Artistic Director with use of these where needed.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to match communication styles to varying audiences with sensitivity.
