We are seeking a passionate and motivated individual to join the Company Management department for a musical on a fixed-term basis.

Responsibilities and Duties
·       Work closely and in conjunction with the Company Manager. The Deputy Company Manager supports the role of the Company Manager daily.

·       Assist the Company Manager to liaise between all technical departments, Resident Creative Team, Production and General Management Teams to ensure the smooth running of all rehearsals and performances.

·       Assist the Company Manager to communicate promptly with Production and General Management and the Resident Creative Team on any day-to-day changes that might impact the running of the Production.

·       Support the welfare of members of the Company and carry out regular dressing room walk rounds and department check-ins within the working week.

·       Work closely with the theatre staff to ensure the smooth running of the production.

·       Provide payroll information and prepare the weekly payroll file for the production.

·       Assist the Company Manager to maintain financial and other records together with good management-employee relations necessary for the operation of the Production.

·       Arrange tickets for company members and liaise with the International Creative Team on show watches for upcoming visits.

·       Attend and, on occasion, run weekly Head of Department meetings.

·       Assist the Company Manager in liaising with the Disney marketing and press department to plan for events, and backstage tours, attending as necessary.

·       In conjunction with Stage Management, produce accurate rehearsal schedules and show reports.

·       Ensure that the Health and Safety Policy are followed and liaise closely with Disney’s Health and Safety Manager.

 

Skills Required
·       Background: Experience in a similar role within a large-scale musical production, working alongside an international cast, is highly desirable.

·       Company Experience: Previous experience working with a young company is desirable.

·       Leadership Approach: Transparent and open working style, ability to lead by example.

·       Interpersonal Skills: Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills with cast, creative, and production teams are essential.

·       Problem-Solving: Excellent initiative and practical problem-solving skills, particularly in high-pressure backstage situations.

·       Calm Under Pressure: Able to handle issues that arise during performances with focus, professionalism, and composure.

·       Integrity & Confidentiality: Full awareness of the need for integrity and confidentiality.

·       Communication: Clear and confident communicator, with the ability to make informed decisions and collaborate effectively with cast, creative, and production teams.

·       Organisation Skills: Highly organised with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.

·       Creative & Design Skills: Proficient in design software such as Canva, Adobe & Photoshop.

·       First Aid: First Aid experience is desirable.

Additional Information
·       Contract Type: Fixed-Term 48 hours per week

·       Start Date: Early 2027

·       Run Dates: 2027-2028

·       Hours: 48 hours per week

·       Schedule: Monday-Saturday schedule with a midweek and weekend matinee

·       Health & Safety: This role will require the candidate to understand and follow the Health and Safety Rules & Regulations at the production
