The successful candidate will work under the supervision of our touring Head of Wigs & Make Up, along with the remotely based creative team to dress and style our Queens in their wigs, hairpieces and crowns for each performance, as well as maintaining all wigs and hair pieces on a day-to-day basis and providing the cast and band with guidance and advice on their make-up. They will also be expected to cover the Head of Department during periods of absence.
Candidates must be prepared to undertake physically demanding tasks, have great attention to detail with a can-do attitude and the ability to remain calm in fast paced situations. SIX uses a mix of full wigs, hair pieces and the performer’s natural hair so confidence working with all types of hair is essential. They will have previous experience within the wig department of a theatrical production.
Desirable experience includes: previous experience on a touring production
Please note this is a full time, exclusive role at UK venues only.
Salary: £900 per week plus touring allowance
