Sonia Friedman Productions is seeking applications for an experienced Head of Wigs, Hair & Makeup to work on the upcoming West End musical “PADDINGTON” at the Savoy Theatre.
Candidates will require relevant hands-on professional experience in a management position: they should be able to lead a team and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills. They should run a successful department and liaise with all other departments on the production and associated personnel. Candidates should be able to work calmly and efficiently under pressure as well as having strong organisational and time management qualities to ensure that the production runs efficiently and smoothly, and the WHAM designs are maintained.
Responsibilities include overseeing of the department, working as part of the team in the maintenance, repair and dressing of wigs and hair on the production as well as make-up requirements, to maintain the look of the production as designed. Desirable skills include experience in wig-knotting, working with afro-textured hair and barbering skills.
Experience on a large-scale production is essential.
