You will deliver marketing activity which will communicate the Octagon’s brand values and
deliver against our audience and income targets. The role involves working on multiple show campaigns, developing engaging content, and ensuring Octagon’s brand remains strong, inclusive, and accessible to all.
Key Responsibilities:
Working with the Marketing and Audience Development Manager to plan,
execute, and evaluate marketing campaigns for multiple shows and activities
simultaneously, ensuring they align with the theatre’s goals and brand values,
with a particular focus on CRM and social media marketing.
• Work closely with external partners and agencies to ensure the successful
delivery of marketing campaigns, from concept through to execution.
• Develop creative, high-quality content for social media platforms, email
campaigns, and the website, engaging our audience and driving brand
awareness.
• Attend and support key events, including opening nights and promotional
activities, to help amplify marketing campaigns.
• Ensure that all marketing materials and campaigns are consistent with the
Octagon Theatre’s brand, mission, and values.
Job Requirements
You should have:
• Proven experience in marketing, communications, or a similar role and in
achieving against income and audience targets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor
messaging to different audiences.
• Confidence and passion for using social media and digital marketing tools
across multiple platforms, including paid Meta ads and updating the website.
• Experience in creating, brand appropriate, creative digital content, including
graphics, videos, and copy.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple show
campaigns simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office and content
management systems.
• An understanding of and commitment to diversity, inclusion, and accessibility
in the arts.
• Experience using CRM systems such as Spektrix to manage audience
relationships.
• Experience using email marketing systems such as Dotdigital or Mailchimp.
• Experience with design tools like Canva or Adobe Photoshop.
• Previous experience working in a theatre or arts organisation.

POST DETAILS
Contract: Fixed term, Apr – Sep 2025
Hours: Up to 40 hours a week. Part-time hours will be considered, please let us
know your ideal hours in your covering letter.

Salary: £28k pro-rata, negotiable based on experience.
