The role:
This role will work closely with the Social Media Manager on the creation and delivery of the Globe’s organic social media content, community management, and delivering the social media strategy. This role will use social media strategically and reactively to enhance the reputation of the Globe, and to champion our work and values to a global audience.
What success will look like (including deliverables):
- Accurately ideating, publishing and scheduling high-performing social content that builds on previous learnings and increases brand awareness
- Taking ownership of areas of the social media strategy and influencer gifting
- Embodying the Globe social media tone of voice in all social media copy and comment/message responses
- Developing skills you already have and learning new ones, for example in analytics reporting and video editing
The skills:
- A strong interest in social media
- Digital and cultural literacy, with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the social landscape, and what works on each platform
- Adaptable and flexible, with a creative and analytical mindset suited to working on platforms with changing algorithms and in fast-changing trend cycles
- A strong copywriter, confident in writing copy for different social media platforms and audiences
- Extensive experience planning, co-ordinating, executing and evaluating social media activity using a social media tool, like Sprout Social
- Confident in shooting photos and videos for social media on a phone
- Excellent attention to detail, including proofing copy, designs and videos, ensuring communications align with our core messaging and tone of voice
- Effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
- Strong organisational skills, capable of meeting deadlines in a busy environment
- Capable of building strong working relationships with fellow colleagues, performers, creative teams and people from across the organisation

This role joins a busy Communications & PR team, comprising a Head of Communications & PR, Social Media Manager, Press Manager, and Press Officer. Communications & PR sits within the wider Audiences department, which also includes Marketing, Digital & Data, Ticketing & Sales, Retail, and Visitor & Audience Operations.
