The successful candidate will play a key role in the 3-person Sound department on the UK tour of SIX the musical. Alongside the rest of the department, they will be responsible for looking after and maintaining the digital wireless systems used for the running of the show. The Sound 2 will take primary responsibility for fitting and maintaining the custom in-ear monitors for the performing company and monitoring the backline system during performances. They will also be required to learn to mix the show in order to be able to provide cover for the Sound 1 as necessary.
SIX the Musical has sound design by Paul Gatehouse. It tours a Digico SD10T, comprehensive D&B audiotechnik system with a Sony radio microphone system and Shure in-ear monitors.
Applicants should be strong team players with a positive, flexible approach to work. They should be comfortable working as part of a team but able to take the lead where necessary with good attention to detail and organisation.
Essential experience includes: previous experience working on a musical; experience of mixing a musical; confident working with technology especially digital radio microphones and in-ear monitoring systems.
Desirable: touring musical experience.
Please note this is a full-time, exclusive role in UK venues only.
Salary: £900 a week plus touring allowance
