Salary: £795 per performance week plus touring allowance & travel

Contract: Fixed Term 52 weeks
Show schedule: performances are 6 days per week either Monday – Saturday or Tuesday – Sunday depending on each venue’s schedule.
Holiday: 28 days per year

Job Description:
To assist the production and Stage Management teams with the running of the production, covering tracks and maintenance;
To support the second day of the get-in and work well with venue crew;
In association with the Stage Manager, to lead and instruct others in the loading of the 3 show trailers for all get-outs
To ensure stage and rehearsal environments are set-up and maintained as required with appropriate set, props, costume, illusions and other effects necessary;
To perform the ASM plots as directed by the Stage Manager, including the supervision of show crew and deps as required;
To learn the book and act as occasional book cover;
To recognise where maintenance work needs to be carried out or replacements are required and bring this to the attention of the Stage Manager or Production Manager;
To take part in maintenance calls and attend understudy rehearsals as required;
To deputise for the Stage Manager as required;
Any other reasonable duty that would normally fall within the remit of a Technical Assistant Stage Manager based on industry norms and practice.
Person Specification:
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written with excellent attention to detail;
A proactive and flexible attitude;
Previous experience of UK Touring including leading in the task of loading trailers, and providing book cover;
Previous experience of working as a team;
The ability to work well with actors and creative team;
The ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritise;
Awareness of current health & safety legislation;
Experience of international touring is desirable;
Strong pastoral skills are desirable.
